The concept previews Datsun's third model for countries like India and Indonesia.
Datsun in Indonesia showcased the Redi-GO concept and the Go Panca (hatchback) at the 2014 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2014). One Go Panca was also displayed with optional accessories like alloy wheels, a body kit and spoiler.
The Redi-GO which had its world premiere at the Auto Expo this year, is at the moment in concept stages, and a production version will launch next year. Apart from revealing that the car has a wheelbase of 2,350 mm, Datsun had nothing else to say about the concept. When launched, its main rivals would be the Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon.
The Go Panca is basically the normal Go hatchback that is sold in India, that was soft launched in the archipelago last month. The hatchback measures 3,785 mm in length, 1,635 mm in width, 1,485 mm in height with a 2,450 mm wheelbase.
It is powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol motor that outputs 68 bhp and 104 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that transfers power to the front wheels.
The Go Panca is available in three trims, and the top-end variant is equipped with features like power steering, front power windows, AC, reverse parking sensors, follow-me headlights, keyless entry and a full body kit. The Go Panca competes with the Suzuki Wagon R and Daihatsu Ayla.
