Available in three trims.
Datsun launched the second model in Indonesia this week by way of the Go Panca (the Go hatchback). The ‘Panca’ suffix translates to ‘five-seater’, so that buyers don’t confuse it with the Go+ MPV which seats seven.
The Go in Indonesia is powered by the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine which makes 68 PS (67.04 bhp) and 104 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The hatchback is available in three trims, and the top-end variant is equipped with features like power steering, front power windows, AC, reverse parking sensors, follow-me headlights, keyless entry and a full body kit. A music system too is offered on the car, whereas the Indian model makes do with a mobile docking station.
The sales launch of the Go Panca will be held next month at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS).
The second launch for Datsun in India will be the Go+ MPV, which is announced to enter the market sometime by the end of this year. The Go+ is also based on the Go’s platform, and will be made at Renault-Nissan’s alliance plant in Chennai.
