Based on the Lada Kalina.
Datsun's second Russia-specific model, the mi-DO hatchback, will go on sale early next year, reports Avtosreda. The mi-DO had its premiere at the Moscow Motor Show in August this year.
Based on the Lada Kalina's platform, the mi-DO measures 3,950 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width, 1,500 mm in height and 2,476 mm in wheelbase. The hatchback's wheelbase, height and width measurements are shared with its sedan sibling, the on-DO.
The mi-DO will be offered with a single engine option, which in this case is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder 8v engine producing 87 bhp. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The mi-DO will be equipped with features like dual front airbags, ABS, heated seats and door mirrors.
The mi-DO will be retailed through Datsun Russia's 25 dedicated dealers, and every car will come with a three year/100,000 km warranty. Going forth, Datsun plans to have 75 new dealers within two years.
