The Datsun Cross’ brochure has leaked online, revealing all its features and specifications. Datsun will unveil the new model in Indonesia tomorrow.
The Datsun Cross is a derivative of the Datsun GO+ MPV. It gets its tough styling from the Datsun GO Cross Concept that debuted at Auto Expo 2016. Projector halogen headlamps with LED signature lamp, prominent fog lamps, front grille with chrome bordering and honeycomb inserts, silver skid plates, 15-inch alloy wheels, power door mirrors, extra body cladding, chrome exhaust tailpipe finisher, roof spoiler and roof rails are among the main exterior features.
Inside, the Datsun Cross has a black colour theme. The centre console design is different from the Datsun GO+. The Cross is differentiated by rectangular central air vents and a 6.75-inch touchscreen head unit.
Datsun will offer the Datsun Cross in two configurations, both powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. In the first configuration, this engine produces 68 PS at 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and sends power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. In the second configuration, this engine delivers 78 PS at 6,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm and is coupled to a continuously variable transmission. The Datsun Cross offers 200 mm of ground clearance, 30 mm more than the Datsun GO+.
