The Chevrolet Spin Activ gets an exposed spare wheel.
The Chevrolet Spin Activ, a rugged looking variant of the compact MPV, has surfaced for the first time in Brazil. The partly disguised test mule was spotted by Autos Segredos reader Mr. Diogo Dias.
The Brazilian version of the Spin Activ, for the most part, looks similar to the Indonesia-spec variant which was launched earlier this year to mark the MPV's first anniversary in that market. The key differences of the Brazilian model come in the form of a bootlid mounted spare wheel, lower body graphics with "Activ" branding and a new alloy wheel design.
In addition to the above mentioned changes, the Chevrolet Spin Activ can be differentiated from the normal variants by means of black plastic cladding for the lower part of the front and rear bumpers with silver skid plates, silver inserts for the side lower body and reflectors on the rear bumper.
The full black interior color theme and multi-function steering of the Indonesia-spec model are expected to be featured in the South American version as well. The equipment level should be matching that of the current top-end LTZ trim.
The 1.8-litre flex-fuel engine which is capable of 108 PS and 168 Nm of torque will continue to do the duty under the hood, paired either to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The MPV is likely to make its market debut at the Sao Paulo Auto Show in October.
