A BMW car's range is never complete without the monstrous M version, period.
While the BMW M6 exist in coupe and convertible avatars of the 6 Series, the Bavarian maker of ultimate driving machines said nothing about an M6 Gran Coupe. However, BMW has silently hosted a private unveiling of the beast at Nurburgring, Germany yesterday.
What you see here are the leaked pictures of the performance version of the Gran Coupe. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe has aggressive detailing throughout the car.
The front fascia of the car gets a sharp chin with aerodynamic splitters and front spoiler. The roof of the M6 Gran Coupe is made of carbon fiber and the huge 20" alloy wheels spell aggression and intention.
The rear of the car declares that it's not your regular 6 Series Gran Coupe by having gun barrel type quad exhausts and a diffuser housed in sculpted rear bumper. There is a M6 badge on the boot lid.
Powering the car will be the same 4.4 litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol motor that also propel the M6 Coupe and Convertible versions. The engine puts out an abundant 553 bhp of power and an earth moving 680 Nm of torque.
The motor is coupled to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) that drive the rear wheels. The car is said to have a 0-100 kmph time in the vicinity of 4.5 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.
The car comes with features that were previewed in the BMW Connected Drive concept.
The BMW has just launched the 6 Series Gran Coupe in India. The M version is expected to be unveiled online in December ahead of its Detroit Motor Show debut.
