The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS has been spotted once again, this time near Pune. On this occasion, the bike is seen carrying a pillion rider as well.
With the bike's high rear rake, the pillion is seated well above the rider. Going by the spyshot, the rider seems to be in a comfortable position, not having to bend forward too much.
The 200 SS features split rear mud guards, full front fairing and new headlamps along with KTM-style tail lights. It also gets front fairing-mounted rear view mirrors, a la Pulsar 220. The test mule had black alloy wheels for the rear and what looks like an aluminium alloy set on the front. Both ends get disc brakes.
Unlike the 200 NS which seemed to swing more towards a naked bike, the 200 SS looks like it'll fill each crevice with body panels, except for the highly raked rear.
The 200 SS, when launched, would compete against the likes of the Hero Karizma R, Honda CBR250R and the Yamaha R15 V2.0
Bajaj could display the 200 SS at the upcoming Auto Expo in Noida in February 2014. The SS is likely to retain the 200 NS' four-stroke engine, maybe developing more power than the NS does.
