Priced about INR 4,000 lesser than the CT100.
IndianAutosBlog has learnt that the Bajaj CT100 B is priced at INR 31,888 (ex-showroom, Pune) which translates to INR 37,170 (on-road, Pune). The model will be formally launched in the coming days as it has already reached a few dealerships in the country.
The Bajaj CT100 B is reminiscent of the old Bajaj CT100 that was offered only with a round headlamp and spoke wheels. After almost a decade in which the model was not on sale (since 2006), Bajaj Auto revived the model last year giving it a modern head lamp assembly with a bikini fairing, new body decals and optional alloy wheels.
Appearing to be the base variant of the Bajaj CT100, the CT100 B is equipped with a round head lamp (similar to the one that was provided on the previous generation CT100), spoke wheels, larger seat and a rear luggage carrier attached to a conventional-style pillion grab rail. The new version does not have a tail cowl, whose area is covered by the bigger seat's side wall.
The Bajaj CT100 B is powered by the same 99.27 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is given on the existing variants. It has the same state of tune that enables the motor to produce 8.2 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm. The four-speed gearbox is also carried over.
