Audi has started testing the facelift of the Q5 mini SUV in Northern Sweden. On a casual look there's no difference.
Note the differences in the fog light areas and headlights. This is a very delicate operation.
But look closely and you'll see that the grille slabs are placed further apart and the fog light module is designed like a speedo needle design, sportier compared to the current model's H-Shaped design.
The headlights have a minor nip and tuck with an orange hue on the turn lights. There are no differences to the car's side and rear profile. Inside, drivers are entertained by the next generation MMI (Audi's infotainment) system, Audi Connect and Google Maps.
The Audi Q5 has been able to successfully retain the market leadership position in India despite recent launches such as the Volvo XC60 and the BMW X3. Audi slashed the price of the Q5 right before the launch of the X3 through a Corporate Edition model and that helped volumes from being robbed.
We expect Audi to drop the new Q5 in the Indian market soon after its overseas debut.
