The Aprilia SR150 Race emerges as a slightly sportier variant than the standard trim.
Aprilia India has launched the Aprilia SR150 Race in India at a premium pricing compared to the standard version. The scooter not only has cosmetic changes but comes with new mechanicals as well, promising an improved performance.
The powertrain is carried forward from the standard sports scooter and is a 154.8 cc mill which is capable of producing 10.4 hp of maximum power at 6,750 rpm and 11.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm.
The Aprilia SR150 Race is fitted with a modified gearbox. The new CVT will help the scooter register a better initial acceleration. Other changes include new Maze Grey body with graphics inspired from their MotoGP livery.
The rear mono shock suspension gets a red spring, and the rear alloy gets the same colour. Brakes include the same 220 mm two piston disc up front and a 140 mm drum unit in the rear. A black rubber mat with red elements is also offered as an accessory. The 14-inch wheel gives the rider a commanding riding position.
Just like the standard trim, the Aprilia SR 150 Race will be manufactured at Piaggio India’s Baramati facility.
The Aprilia SR150 Race is priced at INR 70,288 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) making it INR 2,338 more expensive than the standard trim.
