As Renault continues testing the facelifted Kwid ahead of its launch later this year, one of its test mules has been spied yet again. The latest sighting reveals that the French automaker's best-seller in our market, launched in 2015, will get C-shaped LED tail lights with its mid-life update.
The new spy shots strengthen the speculation that the facelifted Renault Kwid will feature a number of cosmetic updates inspired by the Renault K-ZE EV. Two-tier front light setup comprising LED DRLs on the top and headlamps in the middle section, new radiator grille, restyled bumpers, new lower grille with multiple horizontal slats, and C-shaped LED tail lights will be among these changes. LED DRLs and wheel caps are unlikely to be standard.
On the inside, the new Renault Kwid will have more or less the same design. Minor tweaks like fresh trim and upholstery and enhancements to the MediaNav infotainment system and the instrument cluster could be there.

The facelifted Renault Kwid will be offered with the same 0.8- and 1.0-litre SCe three-cylinder petrol engines as the pre-facelift model. However, these engines will be in an upgraded, BS-VI form in the former. The output figures are unlikely to change from 54 PS/72 Nm and 68 PS/91 Nm respectively, though. Similarly, 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual will be the transmission choices.
