With high-set LED DRLs, new radiator grille, two-tier headlamps and a sportier lower grille, the upcoming new Kwid has gone a major makeover that is believed to pull back the buyer's interest. Furthermore, it now receives newly designed wheels and slightly tweaked combination lamps with C-shaped tail lights. Also, reflectors have been added which are new to the package. While the overall silhouette and the basic profile of the car continues as is.

Spy shots suggest that the Renault Kwid is all-set to receive Triber's LED instrument cluster and 8-inch MediaNAV Evolution touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, it will feature a new steering wheel along with all other cabin updates. To further improve the package, the car might receive new upholstery and trim which will freshen up the cabin space. Also, in order to clear the upcoming crash test norms (BNVSAP), it will receive structural upgrades.

The new Kwid will be made available with the same 0.8-litre SCe petrol engine (54 PS/72 Nm) and 1.0-litre SCe petrol engine (68 PS/91 Nm), but the engines are expected to be updated to the cleaner BS-VI standards. The earlier seen 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual units will continue to be offered as transmission choices.
