Similar to the Bajaj Pulsar ABS variants, Avenger Cruise 220, Street 220 and Street 180 get a single-channel unit to keep the prices competitive. Apart from ABS, the safety net features the rear-wheel lift protection (RLP) sensor.
A 220cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder DTSi engine delivers 19 PS of maximum power and 17.5 Nm of peak torque on the Avenger. The motor is paired with a 5-speed transmission. Stopping power comes from disc brakes on both ends. Typical cruiser style ergonomics deliver a comfortable riding stance.
The 2019 Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS has arrived well ahead of the April 2019 deadline set by the Indian Government. This is a mid-life upgrade and a completely new Avenger family will arrive in 2020 as the third generation Bajaj cruiser.
