Soon after launching the Venue, Hyundai is gearing up for the next-gen Grand i10's introduction. According to a new report, the company will launch the 2019 Grand i10 on 20 August 2019.
The Hyundai Grand i10 will go through a thorough exterior and interior makeover for MY2019. Though it will sport a fresh look, it will still have familiar proportions and be funky enough to be targeted at young customers. As hinted from the previous spy shots, it will feature a more expressive cascading grille, a more stylish bumper and new sweptback headlamps. Furthermore, styling is promised to be improved with a smoother up-swept beltline and a more curvaceous greenhouse. The overall size and proportions are expected to have grown slightly which may improve cabin space.
On the inside, the Hyundai Grand i10 is set to receive a newly designed dashboard, steering wheel and centre console. It is also said to receive an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as well as Blue Link connected car connectivity feature as seen on the recently launched Hyundai Venue.

The next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 will be based on an updated version of the current car's platform. Its engine options will include a BS-VI compliant version of the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and a BS-VI compliant version of the 1.2-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. The transmission duties will be done by a standard 5-speed manual unit or an optional 5-speed automated manual unit. The latter will be a replacement for the 4-speed torque converter and may be offered with only the petrol engine.
