The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 has been spotted during its final testing rounds in Pune, courtesy of Rushlane. A recent report said that its launch will take place by the end of this month.
The new Bajaj Dominar 400 was spied in the Shanipar area in Pune city. The spy shot provides a clear view of the new exhaust system and the silver finished USD forks of the updated model.
A leaked video from earlier this week detailed the new instrument console on the bike. The primary cluster displays additional information like Engine Kill-Switch ON, Side Stand Down, Average Fuel Economy, Instantaneous Fuel Economy and much more. The secondary display, mounted on the fuel-tank mounted, shows the gear-position indicator, clock, odometer and two trip meters.
Bajaj dealerships have already started accepting unofficial bookings for the new Dominar 400. A report dated 5 December claimed that the new model will feature a refined and more powerful motor with DOHC setup. The engine on the existing Dominar 400 suffered from the inherent vibration issue, and the introduction of an updated unit will be a welcome change.
The current Bajaj Dominar 400 employs a 373.2 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that produces 35 PS of power and 35 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. It features dual-channel ABS and slipper clutch as standard fitment. In the anticipation of the updated model, the sales of the outgoing model declined to 170 units in November 2018.
