The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 has been spied testing once again in the Ladakh region. This time around, a walkaround video has surfaced online, which shows the various upgrades like USD front forks, a twin-pod exhaust canister and the works.

As can been seen in the video, the updated 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 employs similar inverted front forks as the KTM 390 Duke. The bike also features a new meatier twin-pod exhaust with an inbuilt catalytic converter. The current model has a separate cat-con setup below the engine, which limits the bike’s ground clearance.

Furthermore, the new Bajaj Dominar 400 also gets new rear view mirrors and a redesigned front fender. The introduction of USD front forks has resulted in repositioning of the front disc brake to the left side. The motorcycle will reportedly receive a ride-by-wire throttle system and an updated instrument cluster with a gear-position indicator, distance to empty, average speed and instantaneous fuel consumption as well.

However, all Bajaj Dominar bikes are manufactured at Bajaj’s facility in Chakan, Maharashtra. So, the test mule with a KL (Kerala) registration plate is a bit puzzling. It is reported that the 2019 Dominar 400 will have a BS-VI compliant engine.

The current Bajaj Dominar 400 uses a BS-IV compliant 373.2 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection that churns out 35 PS of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, while a slipper clutch is standard. The updated Dominar 400 is expected to get a more refined and a less vibey engine.
