According to a report from Iwanbanaran, the upcoming 2019 Yamaha Xabre 150 facelift (Yamaha M-Slaz facelift) will be rechristened to Yamaha MT-15. The motorcycle was spied testing earlier this week by Facebook user M Nashrul Aziz.
The report further claims that the 2019 Yamaha Xabre 150 (Yamaha MT-15) will receive a new 155 cc engine, mechanical upgrades and a new design language on the lines of the latest MT-series. The motorcycle gets a complete design overhaul, which includes a redesigned fuel tank with extended tank shrouds, new ‘dragonfly-like’ LED headlamp cluster and a lowered tail with a single-piece seat. The new Yamaha MT-15 will reportedly launch in Indonesia by the end of this year.
The 2019 Yamaha Xabre 150 is likely to share chassis, suspension components and alloy wheels with the current-generation model. That said, the 2019 Yamaha MT-15 (new Xabre 150) will reportedly employ a 155 cc, Yamaha R15 V3.0 sourced single cylinder engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) and slipper clutch. On the R15, the fuel injected motor produces 19 bhp of maximum power along with a 14.8 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The current-gen Yamaha Xabre 150 employs a 149 cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection that outputs 16 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 14.3 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine transfers drive to the wheel via a 6-speed transmission. The bike features 37 mm inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock with preload adjustability.
Anchorage on the Yamaha Xabre 150 is provided by a 267 mm rotor up front with radially mounted brake calliper and a 220 mm rear disc with a floating brake calliper. The motorcycle comes shod with 10-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels that wrap on 110- and 130-section front and rear IRC tubeless tires, respectively.

The Yamaha Xabre 150 is available with a 10.2 litres fuel tank capacity, while it tips the scales with a kerb weight of 135 kg. The Xabre 150 is the naked streetfighter form of the Yamaha YZF-R15. The motorcycle comes at a sticker price of IDR 30.70 million (INR 1,47,542.39) on the road in Jakarta.
