The 2019 Yamaha Xabre will feature a redesigned headlamp cluster and revised tank shrouds.

Spy media shows the 2019 Yamaha Xabre with a new ‘dragonfly-like’ headlamp cluster with LED main beam and bug-eyed LED pilot lamps above the headlight. Other changes include redesigned tank shrouds, revised tail section, and a new engine cowl.

Iwanbanaran claims the test mule to be the upcoming 2019 Yamaha MT-25. However, from the compact dimensions and the overall design, it looks like we are looking at the Yamaha Xabre here. Other Indonesian media reports suggest that Yamaha will rename the Xabre to 'MT-15'. The robust design characteristics of the motorcycle makes it worthy of the MT-series brand name. The Yamaha Xabre (Yamaha M-Slaz) is actually a naked roadster version of the Yamaha R15.

Powering the Yamaha Xabre (Yamaha M-Slaz) is a 149 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder FI engine that works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission. The engine is capable of pumping out 16 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm while generating a peak torque of 14.3 Nm at 7,500 rpm. That said, the 2019 Yamaha M-Slaz could employ a 155 cc powertrain from the new R15 V3.0 and come equipped with features like a slipper clutch and VVA (Variable Valve Actuation).

Suspension components on the Yamaha Xabre include 37 mm upside-down forks upfront along with an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Anchorage comes from 267 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes set-up with radially mounted callipers. The Xabre comes shod with 17-inch lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels that run on 110-section front and 130-section rear tubeless tyres.
