The Indian-spec Jeep Compass Trailhawk will have the familiar 2.0-litre MultiJet II engine under the hood. The turbocharged diesel mill produces 173 PS and 350 Nm of torque. However, while the regular Compass powered by this engine has a 6-speed manual transmission, the Compass Trailhawk could have this engine coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Although, a Team-BHP user mentions that a Jeep dealer informed him that even the Trailhawk variant will come with a manual transmission. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is expected to retail at around INR 24 lakh (ex-showroom).
