Japanese publication YoungMachine has rendered the 2019 Yamaha R25.

While the 2018 version witnessed only colour updates, the 2019 model will reportedly feature a design overhaul. The rendering shows the bike is inspired by the new YZF-R1/R6. The front end features twin LED headlamps, with a faux air intake in between. The sculpted fuel tank and the tail portion is also R1-esque. The fairing features slightly more aggressive lines, and they have replaced the front telescopic fork with gold-finished upside-down units. The instrumentation will reportedly be a new digital unit.

The Yamaha R25 is sold with a bigger engine as the Yamaha R3 in the Indian market as well as abroad. The 2019 Yamaha R3 will reportedly feature an updated engine that will make 5 PS more than what the current bike makes (42 PS at 10,750 rpm). The facelifted R3 is likely to make its way to the Indian shores a few months post its global launch.

The 2018 Yamaha YZF-R3 entered the Indian market in February, at the Auto Expo. The bike costs INR 3.48 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. The 2018 model comes with Metzeler Sportec M5 tires and dual-channel ABS as standard, apart from BS-IV compliant engine. It rivals the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390, Benelli 302R and TVS Apache RR 310.
