The second-gen Ford Figo was launched in India in September 2015 and it is expected to receive a facelift this year. While Ford continues testing the 2018 Ford Figo (2019 Ford Ka) on the roads, Autos Segredos has presented a speculative rendering to preview its design.

2018 Ford Figo (2019 Ford Ka) rendering
The facelifted Ford Figo should feature a more angular, mesh pattern radiator grille inspired by that of the Ford Fiesta.

The 2018 Ford Figo shown in the rendering features a more angular radiator grille inspired by that of the latest Ford Fiesta, new headlamp graphics, revised lower grille, sportier front bumper and LED DRL stripes above the front fog lamps. At the rear, the mid-cycle refresh will see the car getting tweaked tail lamps. Inside, the new Ford Figo should have a redesigned centre console and the SYNC 3 infotainment system with a large colour central display.

The current Ford Figo is available with the 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine that produces 88 PS and 112 Nm of torque, the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine that develops 112 PS and 136 Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine good for 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The 2018 Ford Figo will feature a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine from the Dragon engine family, most likely as a replacement from the current 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine.

In the facelifted Ford Figo, Ford will offer a new 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 95 hp (96.36 PS) and 115 Nm of torque. This new engine from the Dragon engine family will debut in the Ford Figo Cross (Ford Figo Freestyle), which will arrive by June this year. Like in the Figo Cross, Ford could link the new naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine in the new Figo to the MX65 5-speed manual transmission. The current 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine should get discontinued.

The 2018 Ford Figo’s launch timeline is currently unknown. In Brazil, the 2019 Ford Ka will debut in the second half of this year. The Brazilian-spec version will get a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine from the Dragon engine family as a replacement for the 1.5-litre Sigma engine.
