Another day, another batch of 2018 Hyundai Creta’s spy shots has surfaced on the web, courtesy Motor Vikatan. Unlike during previous sightings, there was a trio of test mules this time.
The 2018 Hyundai Creta seen features a new upper grille with horizontal slats having a gloss finish that looks quite similar to the version sold in Brazil. As we’ve pointed out before, the fog lamps have a different shape in the Indian-spec version. Instead of fitting horizontal fog lamps like in other markets, Hyundai appears to have simply reshaped the existing unit for a squarish look. One of the latest spy shots also reveals newly-designed 5-spoke alloy wheels that will refresh the appearance of the SUV’s profile.
The 2018 Hyundai Creta is likely to employ the same engine options as the current model. These include a 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel, a 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol, and a 1.6-litre U2 VGT CRDi diesel. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission should continue as the transmission choices in case of the 1.6 L petrol and diesel engines. Hyundai reportedly did plan to introduce mild-hybrid tech in the small SUV initially, but post the GST roll-out, has shelved the plan.

Hyundai will launch the 2018 Hyundai Creta in India towards the second half of 2018. Before that, the company will introduce the 2018 Hyundai i20 (facelift), possibly in early 2018.
