Gaadiwaadi.com reports that the 2018 Hero Passion XPro has been launched in the country. Hero discontinued the previous generation bike in May, this year.
The 2018 Hero Passion XPro has gone under the knife and now looks more in line with the design language of the Splendor iSmart range. The motorcycle features a new headlight design with positioning lamps and clear lens indicators. The rear design is similar to the older generation motorcycle, but is now sleeker, and comes with a tyre hugger as well.

The 2018 Hero Passion XPro draws power from the indigenously developed 110 cc TOD (Torque On Demand) engine. It is the same engine that does duty on the Splendor iSmart 110. The mill makes 9.5 PS of power at 7,500 rpm, and 9 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 4-speed gearbox. The engine comes with the iSmart feature, which helps in reducing fuel consumption by switching the engine off while idling in traffic. The powerplant comes back to life on pulling the clutch lever.

The double cradle frame is the same unit that the previous generation bike used. The front end comes with telescopic fork, and the rear gets twin shock absorbers, like the older bike. For braking, the motorcycle employs disc at the front and drum at the rear. A front drum brake variant is also available. While there is no official word on the pricing, the website reports that the bike is likely to cost around INR 57,000, ex-showroom.
