Kawasaki Motors has teased the 2018 Kawasaki Z900 RS again and reveals new details about the bike’s brakes and exhaust.
The teaser video shows a close-up shot of the bike’s front wheel. The tyres feature whitewalls for the retro feel, and the front employs twin discs with radial callipers. The callipers have Kawasaki branding. The front brake is different from the Kawasaki Z900, which uses standard Nissin callipers for its twin 300 mm petal discs. The rear comes with a disc as well, and the brakes feature ABS.
The four-to-one exhaust system gets chrome finish. The rear footpegs are made of aluminium. The seating position is upright with wide handlebars, but the footpegs are rear-set. The motorcycle comes with a single-piece bench-type seat. The tail light appears to be circular and is likely to be LED.

The 2018 Kawasaki Z900 RS was teased last month and shares some components with its naked sibling, the Kawasaki Z900. The bike will use the same 948cc in-line four engine with liquid cooling. In the Z900, it makes 125 PS of power and 98.6 Nm of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed unit. Expect the modern-classic motorcycle’s engine to be torque-heavy. The bike features upside down front fork and monoshock at the rear. Kawasaki will unveil the modern classic at the 2017 Tokyo Motor show that opens on October 25.
