Fiat X6H (Punto successor) – IAB Rendering
Aravind Jayachandran, It goes without saying that I'm a huge petrolhead and can apparently convert all my driving emotions into words you can read.
To launch in mid-2017 in Brazil, reportedly.
Based on the latest spyshots and reports of the Fiat X6H (codename for the Punto successor), IAB’s Shoeb R Kalania has created a rendering of its side profile to give an idea of what to expect, with respect to exterior design.
The Fiat X6H, in the long run, will replace both the Punto and Palio in Brazil. It’s claimed to feature a design that will borrow cues from the Fiat Tipo hatchback, with reports calling it a ‘Brazilianized’ version of the Tipo. Some of the elements borrowed from the test mules in spy shots include swept-back headlamps flanking a mesh grille, new horizontal wrap-around taillamps, rear windshield wiper, roof spoiler and registration plate area on the bumper.
Local reports suggest that the X6H’s engine lineup will include a 1.3-litre GSE engine with over 101 hp and around 13.7 kg.m of torque, a 1.8L 4-cyl E.torQ EVO engine from the Fiat Toro and a base 1.0L Firefly 3-cyl flex fuel engine from the Fiat Mobi, which produces 72 hp and torque of 10.4 kg.m of torque.
Fiat Brazil has confirmed two all new models to launch in the country this year which, according to reliable reports, is more than likely to be the Fiat X6H hatchback and its sedan derivative – the Fiat X6S.
