Post the 2017 Maruti Dzire, the next big launch from Maruti Suzuki is the 2017 Maruti S-Cross. The new S-Cross was first spotted in India in May, and it is still undergoing local testing, as seen in spy shots published by CarWale.
As before, the heavy camouflage hides most of the changes. However, after launches in various global markets, it is apparent what changes are on the way. Usual for a mid-cycle refresh, the front of the 2017 Maruti S-Cross will see the most amount of changes on the outside. A waterfall grille with vertical slats and chrome enclosure, flanked by reshaped LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, revised lower grille and remodelled bumper are the new elements. Moreover, designers have also resculpted the hood with two creases for a more muscular look.
At the sides, the 2017 Maruti S-Cross will have new design alloy wheels. At the rear, the tail lamps get new graphics and have LED lighting. Interior revisions may include updated instrument cluster and new trim and upholstery. An upgrade released for the Smartplay infotainment system recently brought Android Auto compatibility.

With the facelift, the Maruti S-Cross may receive a petrol engine, lowering the starting price from the current INR 7,94,414 (ex-showroom Delhi), as well as an automatic transmission option. The current model is available with 66 kW (88.51 hp) 1.3-litre and 88 kW (118.01 hp) 1.6-litre diesel engines. 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual are the transmission choices. The 2017 Maruti S-Cross will reach showrooms around Diwali this year.
