The 2017 BMW 5 Series (BMW 530d xDrive) has been captured at a fuel station in Germany, courtesy Bimmer Today. The unit seen in the images is a factory vehicle, as per the marking in German at the rear, and was photographed near the Dingolfing plant - the car's mother plant. The all-new model's test drive event for the international media is set to kick off soon.
THe 2017 BMW 5 Series is scheduled to go on sale in the international markets on 11 February. The M Sport package, as per BMW's release, will be available on the car right from launch. It includes the M aerodynamic package which brings front apron with larger air intakes, side skirt trim, a diffusor-style rear apron and an exhaust system with two exposed rectangular tailpipes.
Other highlights of the M Sport Package include lowered M Sport suspension, 18- or 19-inch M light-alloy wheels, aluminium pedals, M sports seats with Alcantara, M Sport leather steering wheel and exclusive floor mats and interior trip strips.

The 2017 BMW 530d xDrive is powered by the 3.0-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo straight-six diesel engine that produces 195 kW (265 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 620 Nm of torque from 2,000-2,500 rpm. Power is sent via the 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and distributed through the xDrive all-wheel drive system. The 530d xDrive can reach 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
Expect the new 5 Series to reach India in the second half of 2017.
