Will be sold as a special or limited edition model.
Based on the one-off Renault Kwid Climber concept showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, IAB's artist Shoeb Kalania has created a rendering of the production-spec model. Rafael Treguer, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Renault India had earlier confirmed to IAB that the Climber will be sold as a special edition.
The rendering has been made keeping in mind its segment and expected price. Like the concept model, the Kwid Climber has electric blue accents around the black plastic claddings, exclusive alloy wheels with electric blue highlights, chrome inserts for the grille, silver skid plate and roof rails. Whether Renault will also increase the ground clearance and fit chunkier tires to further exaggerate its off-road SUV character as it did with the concept, remains to be seen.
The Kwid Climber could be based on the more powerful 1.0L variant which will also available with an Easy-R AMT gearbox. While the looks may suggest strong off-road ability, it will not come with an AWD system.

Renault has confirmed that the 1.0L variant will launch in the coming weeks. It is rumored to offer ABS in addition to dual front airbags, as well as other features from the top-end Kwid 0.8L RxT like front power windows, a touchscreen Media NAV system, and a digital instrument cluster.
