Reported to arrive in showrooms from H2 2016.
The USDM-spec fifth generation Honda Odyssey was caught testing by Burlappcar, revealing a pre-production test mule completely wrapped up. The new Odyssey is expected to arrive in showrooms from H2 2016.
Leaked patent images have revealed the final design of the new Honda Odyssey, which appears to look similar to the model sold in Japan. It features a 2016 Honda Civic-inspired grille design, four-part Jewel Eye headlights and contemporary styling changes.
The 2017 Honda Odyssey is likely to source power from a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated i-VTEC V6 gasoline engine from the 2016 Honda Pilot, which produces 250 hp. Paired to the only engine option should be a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The new Odyssey will rival the Toyota Sienna available with all-wheel drive and the sixth-gen 2017 Chrysler Town & Country (2017 Chrysler Minivan) that is premiering at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show next week.
