Expected to launch in the Middle East in the coming weeks.
New spyshots from instagram user hamad1two3 reveal the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser in a range-topping trim. Until now, only spyshots of the mid-spec Toyota Land Cruiser GX.R have surfaced.
According to the uploader, this particular model is based on a new "VX.S" trim, which gets an extended body kit with features like a lower bumper set, side sill extensions, and large alloy rims. For instance, the Land Cruiser GX.R gets a chrome bumper guard with the nameplate embossed at the front, while the VX.S trim features an add-on bumper with chrome accent running across.
Power for this variant will most likely be sourced from a 5.7-liter Dual VVT-i V8 petrol engine delivering 362 hp and 540 Nm of torque through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Other engines offered in lower trims include a 4.6-liter V8 petrol, a 4.5-liter V8 diesel, and, reportedly, a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine from the new “GD” family, which is now being offered in the UK-spec Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
