Seen in the flesh for the first time.
While the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser (facelift) has been revealed in images last month, the actual vehicle is seen here for the first time, ahead of a launch which may take place in the coming weeks.
Designers have made extensive changes to the front, which gets a larger chrome grille (resembling the 2016 Tundra to some extent), redesigned headlight enclosures with LED lights, and a new bumper with a chrome detailing sporting the 'Land Cruiser' name.
At the back, the Land Cruiser facelift trades its taillights for LED units, but the overall design of the clusters are identical to the current model. Seen here is a V8 model, in its GXR trim, indicating that power comes from a 5.7-liter Dual VVT-i V8 petrol engine developing 362 hp and 540 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 2016 Land Cruiser will also come with a 4.6-liter V8 petrol, a 4.5-liter V8 diesel, and if reports are to be believed, a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine (the new GD diesel engine family which debuted on the Hilux Revo).

Inside, the SUV will get an overhauled dashboard composed of a new steering wheel, a new entertainment system with recessed buttons, and new colors for the dashboard and seats. Expect the 2016 Land Cruiser to launch in India sometime next year, where it is sold as a CBU.
