Launch expected in the coming weeks.
Courtesy of Paultan reader, Lim Tsu Shyang, a spyshot of an undisguised 2016 Proton Perdana has surfaced near a dealership. Its market launch is expected to take place in the coming weeks, and will be sold to the public, unlike the previous model that was exclusive to government officials.
Compared to the outgoing model, the new Perdana features a comprehensive facelift for a distinctive look. Up front, the top-end 2.4-liter variant gets xenon headlights with integrated LED light guides, a chrome-finished grille and a front splitter. The rear houses a split-taillight layout and a diffuser element with integrated exhaust tips in body color.
The new Perdana continues to be based on the eight generation Honda Accord. It measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, 1,475 mm in height, and 2,800 mm in wheelbase. It is 171 mm longer than the outgoing Perdana, which was basically a badge-engineered Honda Accord.
