Will arrive in European showrooms in September 2016.
The next generation Mercedes E Class (W213) lineup will widen in mid-2016, when the new E Class estate breaks cover. It is expected to arrive in European showrooms from September 2016.
Based on spyshots of pre-production E Class estate test mules, IAB's graphic artist, Shoeb R Kalania has created a render, giving an idea as to what we can expect, with respect to the exterior design. It will be the most feature-packed and practical estate from the Mercedes Benz product lineup, when launched.
Dimensions of the E Class estate could be similar to the E Class sedan (the length and height could be about 30 mm more), which is 43 mm longer than its predecessor, now measuring 4,923 mm, while the wheelbase has increased to 2,939 mm by 65 mm. Exterior features we can expect are Multibeam LED headlamps with DRL, new air intake design, long horizontal LED taillamps, power tailgate, and optional Multi Chamber air suspension.
The engine lineup will comprise of next generation four cylinder and V6 engines, which include the E 200 with 184 PS, E 220 d with 195 PS, E 350 d with 258 PS, E 350 e (plug-in hybrid) with 279 PS and E 400 with 333 PS. All variants will come standard with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission.
