Has the same changes seen on the Mercedes Benz A-Class facelift (W176).
The upcoming Mercedes CLA facelift has been spied again it its Shooting Brake version, with a report on Mercedes Passion Blog revealing new details.
A set of subtly revised bumpers, new inner detailing for headlamps and tail lamps (with new front DRLs), and a new design for alloy wheels, round up the exterior upgrades on the 2016 Mercedes CLA Class. Consequently, the 2016 CLA Shooting Brake will not have the optional bi-xenon headlights, as the Multibeam LEDs will be installed as a replacement.
The interior would benefit from an improvised infotainment system featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity; a larger, 8-inch free-standing COMAND display for the same with a thinner bezel, a revamped instrument cluster, fresh cabin trims, galvanized switches, and a new 3-spoke steering wheel design.
The same set of 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will continue to be seen on the CLA facelift, including two 1.6-litre tubrocharged petrol motors, one 2.0-litre petrol engine, and two versions of the 2.1-litre diesel unit featuring a 7 PS output hike. A new manual transmission for the CLA 250 variants are likely (from the A 250) while a launch assist feature would come on variants equipped with the seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
The world premiere of the 2016 Mercedes Benz CLA is expected by Passion Blog at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March, followed by its global launch. Indian sales debut is expected towards the end of the same year.
