Expected to launch in Spring 2016.
Mercedes is currently testing the facelifted Mercedes CLA Class, which was spotted for the first time by Youtube user Walko-art.
As expected, the 2016 Mercedes CLA will feature the same set of changes seen in the facelifted Mercedes A Class, which will make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Up front, its gets optional Multibeam LED headlamps with new LED DRLs, a re-worked bumper set, and a revised LED taillight cluster.
Inside, it could feature new color combinations, improved trim materials, an updated instrument cluster and a new 3-spoke steering wheel design. As for equipment, it will continue to feature a freestanding COMAND display, but will be larger and have thinner bezels. Also, like the 2016 Mercedes A Class, it could support Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity.
Under the hood, it will continue to offer a range of 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, but improved for better fuel efficiency. The lower variants will pack a choice between two 1.6-litre tubrocharged petrol units, while slightly more powerful versions get a 2.0-litre engine. The diesel engine choices include a 2.2-litre unit available in two states of tune. The range-topping Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 could get the same power boost to 385 PS, like the facelifted 2016 Mercedes-AMG A45.
Mercedes will likely launch the facelifted CLA in global market from Spring 2016. An Indian launch is expected towards the end of 2016, and could continue being brought to the country as a CBU model.
