Gets a new grille and re-profiled bumper.
Ahead of its confirmed debut on August 20 at the 2015 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Autos Show), the 2016 Maruti Ertiga (or Suzuki Ertiga in Indonesia) has been caught testing outside the company's factory premises, sporting camouflage wrapping.
The facelifted Maruti Ertiga has already been snapped undisguised, which featured changes such as a new 3-slat chrome grille, smaller radiator grille, and revised fog lamp housings with chrome elements. Maruti may also offer new alloy wheel designs and exterior colors.
Inside, the new Ertiga could come equipped with keyless entry, start/stop button, electric folding mirrors, and Maruti's SmartPlay infotainment system.
Under the hood, the 2016 Maruti Ertiga is likely to retain the 1.4-liter K-Series petrol unit and 1.3-liter DDiS (Fiat Multijet) diesel engine, albeit slightly tuned for better fuel economy. Reports also suggest that Maruti could drop the 4-speed automatic gearbox offered in the range-topping ZXi petrol trim for a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Given that the 2016 Suzuki Ertiga will be exported to Indonesia by Maruti through the CKD channel, an Indian launch will not be too far away, with reports narrowing it down to the September-October period.
