Renderings are purely an artist's imagination.

Omniauto has worked on a rendering of the Fiat Tipo dressed up in the Italian Carabinieri and Polizia liveries. Note that both police authorities have not confirmed the new Fiat Tipo being added to their respective fleets.

Should the Carabinieri or Polizia consider the Tipo, expect them to choose the power-packed MultiJet II 1.6-liter turbodiesel variant that is capable of 120 PS, and is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. In Italy, this variant is priced at €18,700, which could be a viable price point for the police department.

If the two police departments are looking for hatchback or estate versions of the Fiat Tipo, they will not have to wait long as the Tipo will debut in hatchback bodystyle at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and has already been spotted testing multiple times. The estate will follow in a few months time.

Other engines on offer include 1.4 liter FIRE and 1.6-liter E-Torq petrol units, and a 1.3-liter Multijet diesel engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

As stated earlier, the Tipo remains unconfirmed for the Indian market. If launched, it will replace the Linea, and will be extensively localized at the Ranjangaon plant.
