Bonnet, wheel, bumpers and lights will gain changes.
Motoroctane reader Kanika Sood has spotted a test car of the 2015 VW Vento (facelift) showing the new LED taillamp's glow pattern. Since 2010, the Volkswagen sedan is awaiting its cosmetic update and is expected to get it during Diwali this year.
This test mule is likely to be an export spec car, where the Vento is sold as ‘Polo sedan’. Volkswagen manufactures the sedan in Chakan, Maharastra, and also exports it to Asia, Africa and Latin America under other names, retaining the same looks.
We shared earlier the spyshots of the facelifted Russian-spec Polo sedan with a three-slate grille and foglight enclosures. It is to be noted that the Indian-spec Vento facelift has not been spotted with the same changes, but it will get a new chrome grille, distinct creases on the hood, a new front bumper, and a new carved-out rear bumper with a cut-out for the exhaust pipe. New alloy wheel patterns and seat fabrics are also anticipated.
There will be no changes in the mechanical front of the VW Vento facelift as this aspect was taken care of last year. The Vento will continue using the 1.6-liter petrol, the 1.2-liter turbo petrol and the 1.5-liter diesel engines. The 1.2 TSI comes with a 7-speed DSG auto-gearbox, which is now also available in the 1.5-liter diesel variants. The 1.6-liter petrol comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.
