The new XC90 is powered by petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains.
Ahead of its Indian launch this year, the new 2015 Volvo XC90 was spotted on a snowy European mountain, alongside its predecessor, which for the Chinese market will continue selling as the XC Classic.
Based on the new SPA (Scalable Platform Architecture), the new generation XC90 was revealed to the public at the Paris Motor Show in October last year. It measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,923 mm in width and 1,776 mm in height, and is powered by petrol, diesel and hybrid engines.
For the Indian market, the new XC90 would likely be powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine capable of producing 225 bhp at 4,250 rpm and 470 Nm of torque. The drive will be sent to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
