Launches on May 25.
Reports on the upcoming Mahindra XUV500 facelift are coming in thick and fast, with Team BHP now reporting that the vehicle will get a new top-end variant that will sit on top of the existing W8 variant. We had already reported that the car is confirmed for launch on May 25.
The top-of-the-line variant, set to be called the W10, will get a DVD-compatible infotainment system that will use a 7-inch display screen. The screen will play the role of a screen as well for the reverse camera of the car and will come with zoom function in this mode. The W10 will host the features already seen in the XUV500 Xclusive Edition and add a start/stop button, along with black and beige interiors.
The facelift will be powered by the same 2.2-liter four-cylinder mHawk 140 diesel engine that makes 140 bhp at 3,750 rpm and produces peak torque of 330 Nm between 1,600 and 2,800 rpm. The car's 6-speed gearbox will support both 2WD and 4WD as it does at present.
Expected Price: INR 11-16 lakhs, ex-showroom
Launch Date: May 25, 2015
