First big update for the Mahindra XUV500 since it launched in 2011.
Mahindra confirmed today that it will bring out the 2015 Mahindra XUV500 ('New Age XUV500') on May 25, 2015.
Spyshots show that the car has a completely redesigned front featuring a new headlight cluster with S-shaped LED daytime running lights, a chrome-etched grille, new foglamp pockets with chrome highlights and a new bumper.
A new Purple body colour, rehashed 10-spoke alloy wheels, and a larger chrome garnished rear registration plate enclosure round up the changes on the 2015 Mahindra XUV500. While the dashboard appears the same as the current model, the color theme has been changed.
The 2015 Mahindra XUV500 will continue using the 2.2-liter four-cylinder mHawk140 diesel engine which makes 140 bhp @ 3,750 rpm and 330 Nm @ 1,600-2,800 rpm. As standard, it gets a 6-speed manual gearbox with 2WD and 4WD options. It is publicly known that Mahindra is working on introducing an automatic gearbox for the XUV500 which could roll out on the facelift, or follow suit.
