Expected to launch in the month of May 2015.
Based on leaked images of the 2015 Mahindra XUV500 (facelift), Indian Autos Blog's in-house artist, Shoeb Kalania, has created a digital mockup of the SUV, which is reported to go on sale in the first half of this year.
Mahindra has not drastically altered the looks of the XUV500, as the design of the product helped in a large extent in establishing its popularity: The Indian utility vehicle specialist sold 100,000 units of the XUV500 within 33 months of launch.
The grille of the XUV500 facelift is finished in chrome where the current model gets it in the body color. The overall design of the headlight clusters are untouched, but the arrangement of the lights is altered slightly with the inclusion of a Z-shaped element, which is likely to be the LED positioning strip.
The foglights on the updated XUV come in L-shape enclosures with chrome highlights for a more premium look. Finally, the chin is given a silver skid plate instead of the black plastic which is currently seen on the SUV.
The only change in the side profile is the new 10-spoke alloy wheel, which could be given a diamond finish to it. Designers have made no changes to the rear except for a larger, chrome-embellished registration plate enclosure.

The XUV500 facelift is also expected to introduce new variants to the SUV like a hybrid and an automatic transmission version. The 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine is unlikely to see major changes.
