First cosmetic update for Mahindra's flagship offering within its brand.
Here are the first undisguised spyshots of the Mahindra XUV500 facelift, which according to an Autocar India report, would launch in May this year.
Designers have given the 'Cheetah-inspired' SUV a revised front fascia comprising of a chrome grille, an all new bumper with L-shaped foglight enclosures, a skid plate and re-profiled headlight clusters with what looks like integrated daytime running lights.
Over to the sides, the XUV500 facelift gets redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels. Save for a larger, chrome-garnished rear registration plate enclosure, there are no further changes to the XUV500.
It remains to be seen if Mahindra has carried out interior changes or even mechanical updates for that matter. The XUV500 is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 140 bhp and 330 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
