Dealers of Hyundai India will start accepting bookings for the 2015 Hyundai i20 (Elite i20) from today. The car launches on August 11.
Earlier today, Hyundai India released the first design sketches of the car. New details available on the second generation i20 are that it was designed by Hyundai Motor's Design Center in Europe, located in Russelsheim, Germany, and like newer Hyundai models such as the new Genesis, the 2015 i20 uses the company's Fluidic Design 2.0 design language.
The 'bookings open' image seen here shows a part of the production i20's front fascia and interior, though fully revealing images of the exterior and interior are available here. The inside of the hatchback gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls for the music system, a new white-on-black instrument cluster with a multi-information display, an integrated music system capable of playing Bluetooth, AUX-in, USB, CD, MP3 and Radio and automatic climate control.
In terms of engines, the new i20 is expected to continue using the same 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol, 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol and the 1.4-liter CRDi diesel engine from the outgoing model.
