Made by the Guangzhou Honda JV.
Alongside its slightly tweaked version XR-V, the Honda Vezel was also showcased at the ongoing 2014 Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The compact SUV recently went on sale in the Chinese market at a base price of 128,000 yuan onwards (INR 12.92 lakhs).
The Vezel measures 4,294 mm long, 1,772 mm wide, 1,605 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. That makes it slightly bigger than the XR-V. The two are separated by a little price difference, overall styling, and the dimensions.
Although they share the same engines, 1.5-litre and 1.8-litre petrols, the Vezel is available in both FWD and AWD versions. The Vezel also comes loaded with features like airbags, ABS, ESP, LED daytime running lights etc. It also gets a 7-inch entertainment system and a sunroof.
The interior on this one features a floating centre tunnel and looks more premium, too, in comparison to the slightly cheaper XR-V which is made by the Dongfeng Honda JV.
The Vezel has already seen some success with Honda registering more than 8,000 bookings for the vehicle even before its launch in China.
