Spied – Fiat Punto Evo (facelift) reaches a dealer stockyard
Nithyanandh K, As a toddler, those wheeled machinery fascinated me even before I knew what they’re called as! So here I'm, petrolhead by birth, Mechanical engineer by qualification and automotive reporter by profession!
The Fiat Punto Evo slated to launch in end of July or early August, has been spied once again, this time in the Tuscan Wine exterior color, at a dealer stockyard, by Team BHP member Mr. Chakravarthy.
The top-end diesel variant that was spied earlier wore a ’90 HP’ badge on the hatch door but the latest spyshots show the car devoid of a variant badge. On closer observation, the dual-tone color theme of the interior can be spotted (the 90 hp diesel variant has a full black color theme).
The Punto Evo is the second hatchback in India to offer a rear AC vent, the first being the Hyundai Grand i10.
Powertrain options would be retained although a few minor tweaks cannot be ruled out. The Punto’s engine lineup includes a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel (in two states of tune) engines. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard on all variants.
The presence of the car in a dealership stockyard is further proof that the launch is within reach.
