After showcasing as many as 15 models in October last year, Hero Motocorp has revealed teasers for two new models. The teasers are one each for a bike and a scooter. Both will be unveiled tomorrow in New Delhi.
The company hasn't given a sliver of information about these models. However, the bike's front-end has been teased. It features a five-spoke alloy-wheel with a single-disc brake. The headlamp assembly gets a standard casing with a windshield as well. The fender is well sculpted, housing a standard telescopic suspension setup.
As for the scooter, it features a clean rear, with a silver grab handle. A sticker on the rear reads "SES". The scooter's exhaust might be positioned right below its taillight, going by what little the teaser reveals. Interestingly, the rear wheel has a striking resemblance to that of the Hero Leap concept that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012.
Hero's MD and CEO, Pawan Munjal, had said that at the Auto Expo 2014, the company would be showcasing yet another range of two-wheelers on new platforms. He also confirmed that the production version of the Leap would be ready for the upcoming Expo.
It has been just over two years since Hero Motocorp broke off its long standing partnership with Japan's Honda two-wheelers. Both companies have been going tooth and nail at each other with Hero Motocorp leading the fray in motorcycles and Honda in scooters.
