The 2014 Renault Logan and the Sandero Stepway have been spied at Avtovaz's manufacturing facility in Togliatti.
The Russian Sandero Stepway and Logan are likely to get the 1.6-liter engine that Renault said it would manufacture at Avtovaz's plant in Togliatti. According to Bruno Ancelin, Renault's managing director for Russia, the 1.6-liter engine has been long due and its production will begin this week. Another petrol engine is also likely to be introduced for these models.
The new Sandero was revealed under the Dacia moniker at the Paris Motor Show in 2012. Underneath, the new Sandero is based on the Dacia M0 platform. The Sandero Stepway is just the regular Sandero with increased ground clearance and black underbody panels. It stands 40 mm taller than the standard Sandero and receives front and rear skid plates, flared wheel arches, 16-inch wheels and roof rails.
In the UK market which gets the Sandero Stepway with the Dacia badge, prices start at 7,995 pounds (INR 8.1 lakhs) for the base Ambiance model which is powered by a 0.9 TCe turbo-petrol engine, and extend up to 10,795 pounds (INR 10.94 lakhs) for the top-end Laureate model which gets the 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine. Dacia offers dual front airbags, front side airbags, ABS and ESC as standard features.
