Yamaha unveiled a 250cc motorbike called the R25 at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and this could be headed to India as well. The bike that was shown is still in its prototype stage, and the company hasn't disclosed much in the terms of specifications.
Yamaha is calling it “A superbike you can ride everyday”. Its powered by a freshly developed liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, in-line, two-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The R25 will also be launched in Japan and Europe.
The R25 is mounted on a special lightweight and compact chassis and the bike shares its look with the Yamaha MotoGP machine. The company hasn’t released anything yet regarding the power or the weight of the machine.
