The 2014 Superb was announced by Skoda in early April this year. The refresh brings an all-new set of headlights with integrated daytime running lights, a new family grille with the new corporate logo, and a re-designed front bumper. The rear gets newly designed taillights with LED elements and a new bootlid.

Where the earlier Superb had its rear number plates on the bumper, the 2014 model gets it moved up to the bootlid. The rear bumper now gets a couple of reflectors added instead. Two new paints (Metal Grey and Moon White) and redesigned alloy wheels complete the exterior changes.

Inside, the facelifted Superb gets Skoda's new four-spoke steering wheel with the new logo. Optionally, the steering wheel can be specced from 9 different variations. While the basic design of the dashboard is retained, the color combinations have been altered for a more premium feel.

Skoda India could retain the current engine lineup of a 1.8-liter TSI petrol and a 2.0-liter TDI diesel. The focus right now is on launching the all-new Octavia, which should happen in the coming weeks. We think the company could launch the refreshed Superb by the year end, or latest by February 2014 at the Auto Expo.
